A Bevy of Tricks, Posters, Books and More!

As you might expect, if you read last week’s blog, we’ve been busy unpacking, sorting, culling, photographing, and writing up descriptions of the many items contained in the consignment we picked up last Friday.

We’re not even half way through this one and we’re on the next. As I previously mentioned, we’ve committed to another consignment client to pick-up an even larger truckload of equipment, magic paraphernalia and associated collectibles several hours north of us.

The gentleman who’s collection we are currently going through was an avid book and show poster collector and had many of his collectible posters framed, so it’s going to make them easier sell.

Here are a number of pictures of the many items we picked up last week.

Lots of color in this one.

Lots of color in this one.

Even though this may not be the MOST expensive show poster in the lot, this Siegfried & Roy poster sure is colorful.

He really liked Birch and Alexander.

These baby’s are the real deal. Note Mabel Sperry on the Birch poster, the “Enchanting Mystery Miss”, Queen of the Xylophone.

Stacks of framed magic pictures.

Stacks of framed magic pictures.

We’ve got stacks to go through.

This is a gathering of faces I know at Gary Darwin's house in Vegas.

I know some of these people from years ago.

I’ve spotted a few familiar faces in some of these photos.

This is a stellar case including McBride, the Wilsons and plenty more.

WOW, what a cast: Lance Burton, Harry & Gay Blackstone, Jeff McBride, Pam & Johnny Thompson, Max Maven, Siegfried & Roy, Mark & Nani Wilson, Harry Anderson, Debbie & Doug Henning, Fielding West.

I’m wondering what show it was….they’re all so young!

Books galore!

Books galore!

So many nice books. What a library this guy had!

So many are in excellent to perfect shape.

I’m surprised how many of his books were signed by the author. That’s commitment.

We still have more boxes to go through before we're done.

There’s definitely more to go through before we’re done.

Tim and my son-in-law Jonathan are heading out tomorrow morning with a 27-foot truck for the largest consignment we taken on to date.

Hope you’re planning on having another great SUMMER weekend. This is the last FULL weekend of summer 2013.

Yes, as of Sunday, September 22nd, it will officially be fall. Better fire up the barbeque!

Until next time,

Paul
